Fox 36: The Apex of All-Mountain

The 2026 Fox 36 is ready for climbing, descending, traversing, and is the most versatile fork in Fox’s lineup. With a history of hard charging performance on all mountain and enduro bikes, the Fox 36 loves chunky, fast singletrack. Although the Fox 38 has stolen some of the spotlight, the Fox 36 remains the top choice for riders in the 140-160mm travel range, striking a perfect balance between weight and downhill performance.

For 2026, the Fox 36 uses a completely redesigned chassis, with AI optimized speed holes in the arch to set it apart from the competition. Another new feature is the redesigned and compliant air spring that doesn’t bind while the fork is loaded, keeping things supple and smooth through braking and chundery rock gardens.

• New 36 Chassis 20% greater torsional stiffness over the previous model, approaching the steering precision of the FOX 38.
• Arch Optimization Generatively designed, the new 36 arch enhances torsional stiffness while strategic cutouts minimize weight and refine aesthetics.
• FLOAT Glidecore Ultra-Low-Friction CompliantAir Spring A completely new design with a floating air spring core that decouples the stanchion from the air shaft to maintain smooth travel even under bending loads from speed or rider weight. This gives riders a supple and planted feeling when they need it most.
• Increased Bushing Overlap 30mm of additional bushing overlap significantly reduces friction, providing a smoother feel, especially on rough terrain.
• GRIP X2 Damper More traction, more control, more speed. The refined 4-way tunable GRIP X2 damper provides increased adjustability while maintaining minimal cross-talk between settings.
• Inboard Bypass Channels Relocated from the aft side to the inboard side, these channels enhance small bump sensitivity, reduce pressure buildup, and improve overall suspension response.
• Low-Profile Bleeders Redesigned with a grooved structure for easier pressure equalization.
• Air Spring Top Cap Now compatible with a standard Shimano cassette tool for simple volume adjustments.
• Refined Mudguard Mounting Mounted to the arch and seal flanges instead of bleeder ports for improved durability and aesthetics.

Not all fork travels are offered directly from Fox. To get you the exact fork for your bike we may need to change the air shaft assembly to achieve this. As an authorized Fox Service Center we will replace the air shaft with a new one in the length you need and we’ll put fresh lubricant on the air spring seals and the proper amount of bath oil into each leg.
